Leisure Time –  Eastrop Park

Basing House  |  Willis Museum  |  Eastrop Park

Eastrop Park

This area was originally wetland and the river Loddon still runs through the centre of the park. The park is particularly popular in the summer, providing a range of activities including rowing and paddle boats for hire from the Boathouse Café. During the summer there are other events including band concerts, Punch and Judy shows etc. The nature trail which starts at the Boathouse, follows a circular route via the Crabtree Plantation and Black Dam Ponds. Also, a cycleway runs through the park connecting the Town Centre to Old Basing.
